Sat Nave Plus on b5 rs4 locked

The sat nav is locked on my car - it is the nav plus - and it won;t even let me enter the code. I did enter th code written in the book - but that must be wrong as that is what locked it! Anyone know how to unlock it? (and retrieve a code)

i think you need to leave the unit switched on with the ignition on for a period of time, have you looked here

yeah - i thought leaving it on for an hour would at least let me try again - no luck though!

bummer, i'm assuming it was working ok when you got it? it's not the "safe" wire that's come adrift is it?

i know when i lost the battery on the wifes Pashat i had all sorts of issues untill i vag-commed it and cleared all the low voltage faults. if you have the wrong code i think audi can get you the correct one from the chassis number on the nav unit

It has not worked while I have owned it - bought the car is 1000 pieces!

i'm working on that, there's 2 programs that you can download, ones called Kalumbia but i haven't found that one yet, the other is naviedit. i downloaded that, managed to create a new screen but now i'm struggling to get it to write to a disc correctly. here's a bit of info on it

it reset over night - weird - seems others have had problems entering th ecorrect code as well - just have ot keep trying until it works or pull the power to the sat nav unit as well
