Power to Rear Screen Aerial - S4 b5

Post by rolskii » Fri Mar 16, 2007 11:47 pm

I fitted a Becker head unit to my car, plugged in the iso connectors to the rear of unit, swapped over the perm/switched feeds to correct the set wiring for memory, aerial just cant seem to pick up any distant stations, only local radio.... guessing the reception is poor.
So is there anything anyone else who's experienced similar ...?

My car has the aerial in the rear screen(i am led to believe..?)

cheers.... d

Tried like hell today to get the original aerial powered, I guess it takes a double or shared feed from the puny little amp that powers the rear speakers, I think they only run at 5v, so I found an aerial booster offered for aftermarket radios.... - 12v power to it, slots inbetween the aerial lead conn. and the set ... hope it works

The OE aerial amplifier is powered via the aerial lead.
