I've just bought an S4 (2004) with a non BOSE sound system and no CD changer. It's got a Concert CD head unit and looking at the back of it there's no CD changer cable connected to the mini ISO.
If I connect a Phatnoise system or IPOD adaptor to the CD Changer will I need to get a garage to enable the CD Changer feature on the Concert HU.

It doesn't need to be a garage, anyone with VAG-COM can do it. It's just a simple matter of re-coding the Concert head unit (add 2 to the least significant digit).
