Am I doing something wrong? I have ordered all my albums onto a 2GB SD card. 36 files in all. the last 6 don't show as available though. Any ideas as to why?

The SD card has a limit of 512 files PLUS folders - you may have exceeded that limit.

Increase the bitrate? :D

I use 320kbps bitrate and don't reach the 512 limit even when using a 4GB card.

There's no automatic way to limit the number of files you copy to the SD card - just plain old manual counting.

OK so improving the bit rate improves the quality of the sound and file size. But sort of defeats the object of getting a 2gb+ card doesn't it? Also I counted up and only had 430 files including folders so that wasn't the solution I'm afraid.

The RNS-E is also VERY fussy about filenames and lengths.

The total length of a file path cannot be more than 64 characters (like good old DOS), and the RNS-E doesn't like characters like pling(!).

Worth checking if the 31st file has either of those problems.

Haven't had a chance to look at the files since last posting. I'm hoping you're right though.
