Post by sevenfive » Mon Nov 27, 2006 12:16 pm

hi there just got the new a4 avant with a concert head unit.

i wanted to add an aux-in cable so i can run my ipod etc. i got something off ebay that promised to hook into the cd changer port. but when i whipped the head unit out couldnt see a changer port at all? do some concerts not support this?

regards

There is always the new radio transmitter plug-in for the ipod....but not legal yet! Sorry can't help with the cable thing though.

Use the Genuine Audi lead, bit pricy iro £80. The lead/pins plug into the head unit lead. Works well, I think you have to have your music in 6 playlists.

Had a go with the transmitter type, lot of background hiss/noise with the one I had.

I've got an Itrip - selected a frequency with nowt on, and it works almost perfectly. If I'm being picky (and I will be coz I work in music production!:D), there's a tiny bit of hiss in the background, but certainly nowhere near enough to disrupt the listening experience.
