Alpine Head Unit into S4

Post by GDS968 » Sat Nov 11, 2006 2:39 pm

Anyone installed an Alpine head unit into an S4 and can tell me the pros and cons of fitting after market ICE. I realise some sort of blanking plate will be required.

cheers

Ive fited a alpine unit in, the blankin plates are easy t find as most audio spots should be able t order u 1, if not i can get them just pm me if you need! The alpine is a very good choice of head unit the best in my opinion, fittin a alpine or any aftermarket unit is going t improve the sound but it still wont sound amazing as the standard speakers lack quality. if your into your music and like it t sound right then the only way is t have a full install rip it all out n start again !! But it can get expensive doing it that way if all your after is abit power n volume then a headunit on its own will be ok ! also if you have a audi 6cd changer in the boot it wont hook up t the alpine ive tried !! anything else you need to know just ask

K5turbo/anyone

Are the rear speakers amplified in a non bose car, have been told that they are even if the car is non bose? Also are the speaker plates that you can buy to replace the standard speakers the same in the front and back doors on an avant?

cheers
