TV on the move

Post by AndyS » Sun Jul 23, 2006 11:25 am

Hi

I know its been covered before and I looked back at other threads but any references to links and files are not working anymore.

Does anybody have detailed information on how to get TV on the move on Navplus in an RS6?

Thanks

Andy

If its the same as the RS4 Nav+, then all you need to do is disconnect the GALA wire (white/blue on mine) from the rear of the head unit.

Apparently you may lose some accuracy on your GPS position, as the Nav unit uses the GALA signal in conjunction with the satellites to give a more accurate position, and also (not sure) but I think you also lose the speed dependant volume control.

I have run a very simple "loop" into the glovebox in my car so I can connect and disconnect whenever I want to. I know others have fited a discreet swith under the dashboard as an alternative.

Hope that helps,

Paul.

Andy, for RS6 I know that others (without electric blinds installed) have used this blank button space to put in a switch for tv in motion.
Present:...
Lotus Evora GT410 Sport, Caterham 420R, CCM Spitfire, VW T2 Bay Window 1976

Past:
DB11 AMR, 992, 991.2, Yamaha MT01, 640d Gran Coupe, 635d Coupe, RS6 C5, Audi TT 225 Coupe, Astra with wind up windows, Citroen ZX, Rover 213, yes behold, a Rover 213... Renault 5

Andy,

You need to remove the Nav unit - four keys required which you can buy from Halfords or just ask your dealer if he can pull it for you.

Cheers,

Paul.
