I've been looking on this forum and seen that the Audi sat nav doesn't have either TMC or camera location plus you have to get the 6 disc changer to listen to the CD player and navigate at the same time.
Seems to be a little expensive and lacking to me?
at 2k its more expensive and lacking than the porsche system, which is just incredible.

RE: RNS-E worth it or not?
tmc is supposed to be on its way - its only a disk upgrade
you need a cd changer or dont forget the 2 Sd card slots which will play mp3 files - this is an elegant solution and dispenses with the need for a cd changer altogether.
i retrofitted my a3 sportback with the rns-e cos the factory prices were way too high - cost me £700 all in for the rns-e with antenna and disk and plug'n'play adapter - well worth it as long as you already have a double din slot in your dashboard

Thanks for that, I ordered it as part of the tech pack, i have to lump the extra cost. can't believe a tom tom is more functional though.
