If the car is stationary and getting a good signal from the transmitter then yes. Based on my experience of DVB-T at home, I personally wouldn't get one for my car.

I use DVB-T both in Reading and in Norfolk and find it to be very good. In Norfolk, Channel 5 is is unusable on analogue, but almost perfect on digital.

However, I would like to know how well DVB-T works in cars. I have considered buying that tuner unit from ebay, but wasn't convinced by having to use a hand-held remote control. Interestingly, Dietz have recently released a digital tuner and interface module which allows the DVB-T unit to be fully integrated with the Nav+ head unit. The RNS-E is crying out for a widescreen signal - it looks so silly with the stretched 4:3 picture.

assuming we could fit a DVB-T tuner in a car would we need another set of aerials or could we just split the signal from the existing window mounted ones?

it's hard to tell, have you seen the pics on the boost gauge thread?, we're confident it'll all work but just waiting delivery of some essential components

Ok, here's the status of our little project. Today we installed a micro ITX pc into the boot of Clives S4 connected through the TV Tuner using the S-video and sound cables so now we have a mobile digital media player capable of playback of movies and sound through the Nav-Plus unit. the only limitations on the amount of music etc is the size of the hard drive. we have a small issue with getting the PC to start to boot when we operate the remote control to unlock the central locking but that'll be resolved next weekend with the addition of a 12v solid state relay. at the moment we've just played music and movies but we envisige adding a Wi-Fi dongle to allow updating the media from the home network, a Bluetooth dongle for in-car hands free bluetooth phone, a digital DVB-T usb stick for freeview and a permanent connection to the OBD11 interface via Vag-Com so we can display the boost gauge in Vag-Scope in the Nav unit.

currently we're programming everything through a seperate monitor as the screen isn't really big enough on the Nav to be able to navigate effectively but we hope to cure that by installing some custom car pc software. it's all controlled at the moment through a small touchpad attached to the PS2 mouse port. obviously there's still quite a large amount of work to do to complete this but if it all works we think this'll be the ultimate media accessory.
