Hey Guys, I'm having an external DVD player installed next week and i was wondering where to place the IR receiver.

I really don't want an ugly wart sticking on my carbon dash somewhere.

Maybe someone knows a good place to put it...

Any help appreciated!

I'd stick it in one of the aircon vents....really easy to drill through to get cable out of the back again. people won't even know it is there.

Where are you mounting the screen or do you plan on using the satnav screen? I'm working on a carpc setup and trying to figure bestplace for the screen.

I have all my GPS aerials and I/R's mounted up behind the rear view mirror, you really don't notice them and you get good coverage from anywhere in the car.

I placed mine under the tax disk in the left hand corner

I want to use the satnav screen...

The vents look like a good place.....
Behind the RVM also seems good enough....
