Rear Wash Wiper water not working

Post by david7m » Fri Jan 06, 2006 2:08 pm

Hi

Sorry if this has been covered before, I tried a search on the forum, but nothing came up with "rear wash wipe" !

On my S3, the rear wash wiper works, but when I try to spray the screen wash......nothing/little water comes out! It sometimes has a low pressure drizzle of water, but mainly nothing happens!!!!

The blade obviously keeps squeaking across the screen destroying the blade on the dry surface.

I can hear the pump when I try to spray water. The front one works fine. And there is plenty of screen wash in the bottle.

Any ideas?

Cheers.

Really quite a common problem on the S3 I think. Mine did this at least twice. Hose comes detached in a number of places. You just have to find out where. This may help :D

I've recently moved from the Midlands to Milton Keynes and all my tools are still up there :( Only have a chocolate spanner from IKEA and a set of cheap screwdrivers :)

Bakerdcb, what do I need to remove please?

Cheers.

Now sorted - thanks :)

Had to remove battery cover, air filter box and a cover that protects the cables under the filter box. The join that had came apart was in there!

Pushed back together - job done :)
