Concert stereo upgrade

I have a 1998 S4 with a cassette concert stereo - can I swap in the later single CD Concert unit without the use of spacers? And will the newer version allow me to plug my 6CD autochanger in as well?

Physically, the Concert 2 Unit should fit in exactly the same space as the original Concert. The CD changer should also be compatible.

The thing to beware of is that the Concert 2 will expect a lot of information to be presented on the CAN bus - eg ignition on/off, lights on/off etc. You may need to install a CAN bus interface simulator in order to provide this information to the HU.
