Audi Sat Nav + Aftermarket DVD CHANGER INSTALL HELP!

Post by Mos_S3 » Sat Nov 26, 2005 7:12 pm

Hi guys how you doing? Im new to the forum, so just seeing how it goes....

Just a little bit of advice needed...

Fitted a SAT NAV + aftermarket installation into my audi s3 2002

Didnt, have the tmc tuner box, or the tv tuner.....

PROBLEM 1: Get this warning when ever I switch on the unit...."the tmc connection to rds-tmc tuner is faulty or could not be established"....have been told, I can program the unit not to look for the tmc, if this can be done, how could I do it? instead of just fitting the tmc.

PROBLEM 2:

Brought a 6 disc dvd changer, and a multimedia adapter made for audis to view on Sat Nav +

Just wanted to ask, what button to I select to actually "SEE" the input....???

I have wired all the stuff up....but not actually even sure, if a 6 Disc DVD changer will be compatable, but then I thought about it
and thought that its not directly hooked up to the sat nav +, its signal goes into the adapter first, then through there into the unit..

PROBLEM 3:

This is the unit I brought, thought everything would be fairly easy, but having trouble with the signal, not sure if its getting there..

Any help is appreciated GUYS

1) You SatNav+ came from a system which had TMC, so it will always look for it. You can reprogram it with VAG-COM.

2-3) That unit looks like it is using the SatNav+ TV input, so to get it working you need to use the Radio/CD/TV button to select TV. Of course this means you'll need to have the TV function programmed - VAG-COM again.
