Phatnoise - problemo with DMS

Post by dazzer » Fri Oct 21, 2005 12:45 pm

Just bought one but can only get the red light to fire up on the cradle. Anyone had similar problems and know what the green light signifies. How did you resolve this. Also I am not sure if the Cradle is recognised consistently by my PC when I plug the USB cable in. I am running XP and have followed the install to the letter.

Cheers

Dazzer,

I had no problems with mine; the only suggestions I can give is to ensure you have plugged the cradle into a fully working USB socket. And you must have installed the software first, and then plugged the cradle in.

If it has not been done in that order you may have problems....

Red light indicates the drive is running, green flashes on disk activity.

Most people who've had this have found that the supplied power supply is either not set to the correct voltage or the contact in the docking station isn't making contact.

Scotty,

Cheers. The guy I bought the kit off told me 7.5 volts. Turns out when I banged it up to 9 service was resumed. Let there be music...

Cheers
