Gas Exhaust Temperature Sensors!!!!!

Post by Turbo Joe » Sun Jul 03, 2005 2:57 am

Can you reset these using a VAG-COM and what is the procedure because I was told by an Audi specialist that it's not just about erasing the fault codes. He stated that you also have to erase the codes that the car has learnt from the old sensors and reset it to accept and learn the new codes. Can anyone enlighten me on this subject?

Thanks.

The ECU will continually adjust it's settings, so eventually all old data will be lost. If the old data is very bad, then yes you can reset for quicker adjustment. This is not done via VAGCOM - you just need to disconnect the battery for a few seconds. Just make sure you have your radio code first.
