Sensitivity of Keyfob

The remote keyfobs for my RS6 are ridiculously over-sensitive. The slightest touch seems to activate the remote central locking. I can't even put them in my pocket until I'm well away from the car, because of the risk they touch my mobile phone or a house key and unlock the car. Last week my wife managed to lock the keys and our 2 kids inside the car - just by dropping them on the driver's seat activated the remote locking, and had to get 2 friends to help her out - one to watch over the car, the other to ferry her home to get the spare key. I've also had an incident not long after buying the car where the remote window opening activated in my pocket and left the car unlocked and all windows down in the rain, but fortunately a neighbour alerted me before any damage was done.
Is there any way the keyfobs can be reprogrammed to decrease the sensitivity of the buttons? Even disabling the remote central locking completely would be preferable to the current state which is frankly a complete PITA.
Thanks,
Gary.
