Battery

Post by kcsun » Sun Apr 24, 2005 4:36 pm

Was going to take Noggy for a spin in the country today but found the battery to be totally dead! (car has not been driven for two months)

car is now 4.5 years old so possibly a new battery is on the cards, Anyone have a preference?
Can I recharge the existing battery or put jump leads/ all in one battery booster to it or just nip down my local dealer for a new one.
Any problems on restarting other than the radio code?

KC,

Always worth trying battery removal and an overnight (Better if 24hr) slow trickle charge.

Had same problem a few months ago. After doing above, battery was fine. Fingers crossed I haven't cursed mine now

Only problem was, after using key for remote locking, alarm would go off after 1-2 mins. (Think it's something to do with them not recognising each other )

IIRC, cured it by locking/unlocking drivers door a few time, with the spare key, the plastic one with no brain (Just described myself there :? ) Repeated same procedure, using normal flip type key.

After that I remotely locked/unlocked it a few times and waited a good 15-20 minutes, just incase, seems back to normal.

Hope that helps

Andy

Ps. Think this question has been posted before, worth a search also.
