Newbie Question,
Does anyone out there know where the TV tuner would be located (hidden) in an 02 A4 1.8T Quattro Sport, I have looked in the boot and found an empty space where the CD Changer usally is (mine is in the GloveBox) there is a blanking plate just above the space when you open the flap but can't seem to get this off but it sounds empty if you give it a tap, I have accessed the hidden menu on the SatNav+ unit and it says that the TV is "Not Coded" so I presume it is there but just needs Vag-Com to set it up but would like to find the hardware to be sure before I go off to find someone with Vag-Com.

RE: Sat Nav + Tv Tuner
i doubt it will be there if its not coded -
the unit is the size of a cd changer roughtly, so it should be obvious if its in the boot cubby hole where its supposed to live.

Thanks for the reply, its just that I read somewhere on this forum that if the headunit says "not connected" then its not there but if it says "not coded" then it is present but if its not in the place you say then it looks like I shall have to out and buy one.
RE: Sat Nav + Tv Tuner
I would expect it to be in the boot where you indicated, so that the antennae leads are as short as possible.
However to be certain, if you have the 4 removal keys, just pull out your SatNav+ head and look for the round multipin socket. If there's no connector in it then you certainly don't have a TV unit. I'm not sure, but I doubt the Audi would have installed the harness and not the TV unit.
You can also look for the diversity switcher. In my S4 avant it is mounted on the CD changer/TV tuner cage. If you see it and it has less than 10 SMB connectors, then you definitely don't have a TV tuner.
