Hi all

Is it possible to adapt a new key to the immobilizer, I know how to adapt it to the central locking.

I have searched the Bentley CD but cannot find anything.

Many thanks

I don't think it is mate. Whenever I've had Audi do it, they'd needed to fax off a number block code from the ECU to somewhere and then get some time dependent code back which they've somehow inputted.

I don't have any further details, but they always seemed to make a big deal out of it, so I assumed it was quite a complex procedure.

Try searching the Vag-Com list Simon and if the answer is not there, post a question.

I think you cna do it with VAG-COM. I'm sat with a spare remote fob off ebay and now need to get a key cut. Anyone know who might do the blanks?

Nige.

I found some info on the RossTech website but it means that you need to re-code the old keys at the same time.

As this is a mates TT and not my own car, i think i will leave it, dont want to bugger up a mates car. I would give it a go if it was mine.

Thanks for your help anyway guys

Cant be done with vag-com alone, it requires a code which is faxed to a dealer from Germany and any mistake will render the existing keys useless....... trust me, my car ended up in the dealers for two days while they sorted it, oh and they have to recode your existing key too....
