Audi Sat Nav Plus, TMC & TV Tuner

Post by Dippy » Mon Oct 11, 2004 12:14 pm

Hi all,

I have finally finished installing Sat Nav plus with TMC & TV into my S4. So I'm fairly familiar with the system now (especially the electronics and wiring). So if any of you have questions about the system, let me know.

What did it roughly cost (if you dont mind me asking)?. I am also under the impression it is meant to be almost plug and play if you already have the Symphony II system in place - is that correct?

Dunc,

I haven't kept close track of the costs (just as well) which I think are around £1K!!!
Yes it is almost plug and play, as long as you are a bit flexible in your definition of 'almost' :)

You're right to be. The reception is not always acceptable anyway. For me it made sense to do the whole install if I was going to do any of it (I didn't know about the switcher and boosters at the start), and it also gives AV I/O, although you can get aftermarket units to do that too (aux in at least).

You mean you have bought the parts and need advice on installation?
