Hi all
Saw a strange this this morning. Went to my car outside my house and noticed that the nearside rear window was opne all the way, also the nearside front door was unlocked and the alarm not activated.
All the other doors were locked.
Anyone got any thoughts as to how this could hapen? an electrical gremlin maybe?

Simon, someone here had the same thing a while ago - do a search - IIRC, it is something to do with a power window module in the door - not sure about the drivers door unlocked though.
Hope this helps.
Nige.

Not good...suppose it's good that it happened outside your house and not in the middle of town in broad daylight. If it is some electrical module then Audi deserve a good slap...surely such things should fail safe?

I have checked fault codes and none have thrown up.
Yes it is a good job it happened outside my house and not somewhere like an airport where it was left all week or a city centre. It was raining all night which was a bit of a problem as the seat was soaked

I guess you know that if you keep the keys in your pocket and squash the open button then all the windows go down anyway? Doesn't account for your symptoms I know but just wonder if there is any tie up. It seems a stupid facilty to me and I wonder if it's posible to disable it?
Hope you find it soon!

Yes i do know that, would not explain my symptoms as you say,
one window open, another door unlocked and alarm off

I've accidentally pressed the window buttons whilst getting out of my car when I had the S4 a couple of times....wouldn't explain the unlocked door though.
Bit freaky though...have you got your car set up for one keyfob press = drivers door only ?? - maybe that could explain just the one door open...

yes the car is set up for one press = one door, however it was the front passenger door that was unlocked?
