I used to use a socket bluetooth GPS node :

with Tom Tom navigator on a HP/iPaq until I got the RS4

This was an excellent combination and worked every time.
The iPaq can be mounted very neatly on a Brodit mount which
sits in front of the centre aircon vents

I have one of these spare if you are using an iPaq

The tomtom receiver was the one I had been looking at, very nice and compact. Prawn > I have a Dell Axim X3, did you mean you had a spare receiver or a spare mount?
