I want to fit Road Pilot(or similar) and a diffuser to my car but, as this task is beyond my meagre technical skills, does anybody know a fitting service (preferably mobile) in Surrey/London area?
Cheers all

Sorry, I can't advise on professional installers - I'm a DIY man. However -RoadPilot install is very straight-forward. I've hard-wired mine to an ignition-controlled circuit. Works a treat.Diffuser may be a bit more complex - are you talking radar or laser? I've fitted the LRC100, but it did take a bit of effort to get it neat and unobtrusive.I have the radar head for the RoadPilot but still haven't decided quite how/where to bolt it. I don't want to obstruct the cooling or intercooler airflow.

I also am going to go for the LRC100. Are you happy with it?I think I'll link it with the Origin b2. Has anybody got experience of this combination?

Still looking for a fitting service though

I cant help on the fitting, but if your going for a LRC100 the cheapest place i have found them is here...

http://www.radarshop.co.uk/radardetecto ... tor=lrc100

considerably cheaper than anywhere else i have seen.

I'll get one one day.

Umm... dunno - it's never triggered yet, but then I haven't been done either!I intend to get it tested by the guy at ukspeedtraps.co.uk, who has an LTI 20.20, (cost GBP40).If you get a pro install, I'd be interested to know where they mount the detector - I've slung mine from the cross member behind the bumper, and it peers out through the top centre diamond in the lower grille.

Went to a place in West Byfleet today- they recommended Snooper S6-R detector with SLD 920X diffuser. The diffuser has two transponders which they would mount behind the lowest front grill at each bottom corner of the number plate.
Still looking for my ideal combination of stockist AND fitter.

Assuming you are talking about Paula Marks in Byfleet, they are very good, but not the cheapest.
There is a place in Guildford I've posted up before. I forget their name now but they are on one of the little business parks off of Walnut Tree Close.
Their prices are pretty good, and they are also good at what they do.

Cheers,
John.

I didn't want to say but since you mentioned them first I can also recommend Bannings, having had my phone and other bits done there (plus my brother in law is the owner)

I have no problem with you recommending a place your b-in-l owns. I know one of the guys that works there too. Still doesn't change the fact that they are good at what they do imo.

Cheers,
John (betting you get a whole load of pms for good deals now )

I have never used him, but he was recommended by AmD. Mobile service also, knows his stuff.
