VAG-COM realtime measurements

Just done my first measuring run with VAG-COM.
Without pushing *really* hard, I got the following 'hi-score':

RPM 2720
Torque 365 newton-metres (270lb-ft)
Requested boost 1820 milli-bar
Actual boost 1760 milli-bar

This works out at a BHP of 140 at this RPM. Didn't have enough room to do a power run thanks to a Boxter that got in the way

Torque and power seem to be fairly consistent with the graphs on the AMD website for the standard S4, so I guess I can quite pleased that there does not appear to be anything wrong.

One thing I have discovered is that constant monitoring of values for a prolonged period kills my laptop battery
Tomorrow I plan on doing a proper power run, courtesy of my current waking hour of around 5:00 and the ability to start work early - A217, here I come...

yes my battery also gets a beating whilst doing this - time for you to get a power lead for the car cig lighter.

some info for you, i've found out that if the variance between requested and actual boost is consistently 100 or greater then there maybe pressure leaks - i've been monitoring mine recently..

Hi Carps and SiTaS3

I have two questions :

- Is this test achieved through the channel 122 of module 01 ?

- How accurate/realistic is it compared to a traditional 4WD powerbench/dyno ?

Thanks,

Eric
