Immobiliser - Alarm - Tracker

Has anyone got any comment on the factory fitted unit or personal preferences that have been installed. Know of their existance but have never bothered before on either Ferrari 512BB / Lacia Stratos.

Factory fitted unit (if using LED transmission like S2) is naff!!
I upgraded my security to CAT1 alarm and presently looking into tracking devices.
