According to my local independent garage mine may be kaput as it seems to be draining the battery and I have completely lost MW and FM wavebands on the MMI (DAB still works).
So, recoiling in shock at the price Audi want for a replacement I've been browsing the web for a used replacement.
But what model numbers etc. are important ? The car is a 2009 S4 (B8) UK model.

The details on my unit are;

Becker Automotive systems

4E0 910 541 T 063 (software version)
BE 6357
87513940 (serial number)
EC 106

Especially what do the BE and EC codes signify and are they important ?
