Android RNS-E replacement suggestion

Post by Acidcrash » Wed Jul 19, 2017 8:08 am

Hello all, so I got myself a B7 RS4 over the weekend and assumed that all the RNS-E units had Bluetooth and aux which I was clearly mistaken. So seeing as I've had android headunits in previous cars, I am leaning towards replacing the stock unit with an android one. A quick search has been a bit limited on suggestions, though I did see mention of Joying. Can anyone recommend a headunit in particular? Do they have anything they can't do compared to the stock RNS-E?

This was a newer version of the joying one that I saw mentioned in a previous thread if anyone has experience with it.

Apologies if I've missed a blatant thread!

What do you want it to do that your iPhone or Samsung can't ?

Well, I want to be able to stream from my phone (music and calls) as the basics, though if it were android then it would be able to have Spotify app on natively, same with my satnav app. additionally, for being able to use torque for OBD2 reading.

If there are other types besides Android then I'm open to recommendations, I'm just used to Android from previous cars.
