SatNav Plus pointers

So a week into b7 rs4 ownership and I'd wished I'd bought one sooner. However first time I've had to use the sat nav and it's in need for an update. So need some pointers, it's the Sat Nav Plus if that makes a difference

1) it doesn't support full UK postcodes? Can this be updated, if so how?

2)it doesn't have our road in, it's a relatively new build which weren't up around 4 years ago so where to go for the latest maps

On the m3cutters forum there was a member that could supply updated software and maps for a small amount of cash, they'd send out update USBs and you'd post them back when done,

anyone on here do the same? Or is it main dealer time?

Cheers

If I've got this right, your head unit should be an RNS-E? I think the maps come with updated software on a DVD, not sure about full postcodes though.
There is a member here who can do map DVD's for those; he supplied one for my sons B7 S4 which works well.
Is it one of these?

Hi mate, thanks for the reply. Yes it's a mk1 rns-e unit, did the map update come with full UK postcode?

There were some copied map updates that provide 7 digit postcodes, there was a forum member who sold them on here

You could try this;

Thanks mate, odd thing here is I tried to eject the dvd located behind the screen and it won't eject, is it locked or do I need a cable of something

Sounds like it hasn't been unlocked before first delivery.
You'll need to find someone with VCDS or perhaps speak to your dealer. They'll probably charge some fee tho...
