Updating mmi software on 2011 a5

Yo! Hope all are well???
Looking to update the mmi software so I can use an IPhone lightning connector to run music through...I have the official audi connection, the car recognises the connection, but not the content/ability to run music.
Is this a simple software update? And does anyone know anywhere thats doing this?
