Hello. I have a B7 RS4 with Bose Symphony system. Is there a way to (i) get it to pair with a modern phone to use the system handsfree? (ii) source music from an iPhone or digital device?
Many thanks in advance. S

(i) Retrofit the OEM Handsfree kit which uses Bluetooth - this is how I connect my iPhone6+sjjhr wrote:Hello. I have a B7 RS4 with Bose Symphony system. Is there a way to (i) get it to pair with a modern phone to use the system handsfree? (ii) source music from an iPhone or digital device?
(ii) (a) OEM method - replace the RNS-E with a 2010+ model and replace the CD changer with an AMI fitted with a Tune2Air Bluetooth adapter
(ii) (b) Non-OEM method - fit one of the aftermarket Bluetooth Aux In adapters.

Thanks for your reply. I don't have the RNS-E - I have 6CD Bose Symphony CD head. Does anyone have a solution for my original questions please?

My answers (i) - if you have an MFSW - and (ii)(b) still apply to a Symphony II as fitted to a B7.sjjhr wrote:Thanks for your reply. I don't have the RNS-E - I have 6CD Bose Symphony CD head. Does anyone have a solution for my original questions please?

Thanks - have you used a particular supplier and fitter? I've looked at the head unit and it doesn't look easy to remove without damaging the console

There are 4 keys that slot in to remove (picture shows RNSE but same slots are on yours):sjjhr wrote:Thanks - have you used a particular supplier and fitter? I've looked at the head unit and it doesn't look easy to remove without damaging the console

Try and get the keys with plastic coating on the rings where you hold them - unless you like the sight of your own bloodRossDagley wrote:There are 4 keys that slot in to removesjjhr wrote:Thanks - have you used a particular supplier and fitter?
