Help.
Keep getting this message everytime i connect my Samsung note 2 with wlan to the mmi. the car does not have the plug in phone kit or the sim slot between the sd cards?
From what I can figure out from the manual, I should be able to used the phones data wirelessly, but am having no luck. Phone i paired with bluetooth already. And I am able to play music via Wlan in the car.
any Help much appreciated.

You can see the phone Bluetooth is connected from the photo - bottom right is the signal and Bluetooth indicator.
However it might be a problem with the phone. not all Bluetooth stacks support networking and data.

Try a different phone to test.
Make sure there isn't any access permissions on the phone to set.

Hi,
thanks for the reply.
Its a samsung galaxy note 2. which should support this. The only other thing I can think of is the car can't 'see' the data as its so bloody slow in this area!
Cheers
Mark

I'm having exactly the same issue with my new RS5 and my iPhone 5s, it would seem it doesn't support the sim access or something similar?

VERY annoying as I was looking forward to using the Google Earth and web features

My car has got the sim slot but guess what, the nano sim is too bloody small!

Don't bother, they don't work, I ordered a few off e bay as I wanted to use a micro sim in a standard iphone 4, it fit so badly it got stuck inside the phone and was a right PITA to get out! I'd dread to think what would happen if it got stuck in the dash

Thanks Dave, I had read about something similar, but alas I don't want to jailbreak my phone :(

Can't believe Apple don't allow this, it's a premium product which should work with my premium fckin' car

Yeah, this is certainly irritating.
I've got full Bluetooth working, and the WLan player using some Audi android apps, and I would probably forget about not being able to get a data connection, apart from the bloody screen popping up all the while to remind about the fact. I don't fancy rooting my android phone to install an RSap app, which may not even sort the problem.
Still not to worry.
I find the biggest irony; that I now have the best sound system (B&O) I've ever owned, but keep turning it off to listen to an exhaust pipe! But that does sound epic too :)
