Joshie, can you play back MPEG 3 files through the hands free kit from your phone?

It may be possible but the way I have my Parrot configured is through a separate speaker - when a call is received the radio mutes and the call is conducted. The speaker is OK for a telephone discussion but would be useless for audio playback - well it would be in mono for a start apart from poor sounds quality.

If you have your hands free configured to play back thro' the car hi fi then I guess it would work - just in my case it would have been a great deal more expensive to instal it that way.

Hmm. My problem is this: Neither the Ericson nor the Motorola car kits would play MPEG 3 files (despite the little bluetooth sets) I have found a place thatsells the Parrot but they do not instal and they cant tell me for sure if it would allow mw to use my MPEG 3 capable phone to be used as a jukebox. I know that the parot can be wired through the speakers (none of the others can) but what is the point if it can't receive the music?
Does the parrot have an option to play back music through it?

Have you seen the Plug N go 5?

It is bluetooth and is portable from car to car. I have had one for a couple of weeks now and it works really well, even has caller number display on the unit. I had the parrot driveblue before that and IMO it is utter rubbish, but the Plug n go 5 is very good.

I was looking for a hard wired kit with an antenna. Also would like to use my phones MP3 player function through the car stereo. This is where I am bogged down.
