No it isn't but it could have been. If they had maybe done an RS4+. And yes I know it isn't carbon on the RS6+

Fair enough....for £350 I'll live with the gaps. If Audi had actually done it would have been in the same plastic as the rest of the fascia trim and not piano or carbon.
Don't forget that the RSN-E colour is slightly different than the OEM B5 colour too!

Jeff, I meant the OEM grey/blackfinish is slightly different between the two models as well, which along withe the gaps, puts me off the idea - but this does look good - the price needs to come down though - maybe a rs246 group buy will help bring the price down?

Looking good Doug.... I'm going to pop up to see Virdee on Sunday to see the Carbon effect in the flesh to make my mind up.
Are you going to go for the CANGATE interface as well? - (ensures cluster and RNS-E times work)

BTW I found this useful quick ref guide on a google search... which is handy if you haven't got PDF manual for the RNS-E in English?
http://www.audi.co.uk/etc/medialib/cms4 ... 8.File.pdf- Thinking of one has anyone got a English version they could send me?

Well if any of you guys can think of a better idea to make the RNS-E fit and look better in the B5, then please let me know.

I know my pics/setup has been posted all over the world, so that must tell you something!

Expensive, yes, but better than someone saying "so where did you nick this unit from, doesn't even fit your car!" Each to their own!

Edited to say the A/C panel can be done, but would be OTT in my opinion.

I think it looks amazing :)....it's just £325 too much for a piece of plastic for me. £325 is half a Ring trip :) but as you say each to their own.

That's the best fit you can get using an RNS-E without having a custom front panel made - I know of 2 guys who have done that so far but it ain't cheap!

Not too much most of the work (dynamat, sub enclosure etc) was already fitted, the rest was DIY.

I didnt get on that well with RNS-E in the RS4 - the navigation system was pretty poor and the controlls were slow & cumbersome. Great to look at in the dash... but not worth the money I dont think :(

I'm stuck!

How do i get the can working on the rns-e

i had a navplus in there before - so it looks like i have the can wires up to the leads - but i also have wires in pin 5 and 6 already in the instrument cluster - so what do i need to do to get the can bus working so it lights up and swithches on and off!
