i had a nokia full install kit for my 6610 fitted in my S4 today, theres a problem with fitting them into audi's and vw's tho, when your on the phone, it interferes with the car speakers and makes that really annoying beep bee bee beep bee bee beep noise.. ive been told that its the arial booster being to close to the stereo. i think you can change the mute wire with the ignition loop wire so it switches the stereo off instead of muteing it, but i dont know how... can anyone shed some light on it for me?? Id have another word with the installer if I were you. I've got the full Nokia BT kit in my S$ & have no problems at all. Not interference & it's piped through the stereo speakers - after it's muted to "telephone" it's class!

I've got the traditional Nokia CARK-91 kit (cradle & hidden control unit), and it's plumbed through the stereo. The trick with hard-wired kits is to make sure the microphone is placed somehwere effective. Mine lives just near the driver's side map-reading light, and seems to work fine.

Me too. It has worked great ever since I bought it about 4 or 5 years ago.

does your phone have an ariel hole in the back of it? if so then it will be fine, mine has a booster that it sits against and that is what causes the problem.. plus on O2 their frequency is 8000 mhz or some crap like that and that interferes with radio, but orange/ vodaphone are on 16000 mhz, which doesnt evidently.. i dont know! but i do know that it makes that bloody annoying bee bee bee beep noise!! Just had the Parrot CK3000 Bluetooth kit fitted and I am very impressed with the ease of use and call quality.

Like it says on the packet "makes use of the phone in your pocket"

Fitted by PCS in Milton Keynes for £95. Thoroughly professional install.

Well chufffed.

Yes - it would normally use the car speakers however, in my case I have an M3 with satnav and there was an issue as the system is controlled through the Cam Bus which means that the car speakers couldn't be used in my case. Therefore the installers fitted a speaker which works well.

Using the system is p*ss easy - it mutes the car audio so the system works seamlessly. Press a button to make the call and then voice recognition identifies who you need to call. Receive incoming calls with a press of a button and then press the red button to end the call.

Your phone stays in your pocket.

It has its own voice recognition dialler although I have been using the voice recognition system in the phone. Not sure then if the voice recognition dialler depends on the phone having this feature but is is clearly stated on the box.

Have a look here for a scan of the carton.

Synchronises with the phone, sounds nice!
I had a chat with the installer who has done my previous istallation. He did not like the through the speaker set up. However, in your car it is through a separate speaker, so it should be O.K. Does it still mute the radio?

Yes it mutes the radio. You simply press the green button to accept or make a call. If making the call voice recognition (40 numbers) allow the call to be made and then press the red to stop the call. Radio comes back on after the call is ended. Cool.

40 numbers only? It is advertised here as 500 numbers! And the Motorolla as 100!
I think 40 numbers would do me fine though

Mmm, I think it depends on the phone which I think is the limiting factor. I believe the Nokia 6310i has 40.
