Sat Nav Problem
Re: Gyration
Yes Chris, light bulbe filament movement! It comes on when I start even in open areas (like my house) It wnet all the way from Sydney to the outskirts of Canberra last night. Not even changing the disc helped. It is going in this weekend for the Quattro GMBH suspension upgrade and they will have a look at the Sat Nav as well. I am waiting with excitement.
Re: Gyration
Those are the symptoms of no sat service and a flaky reckoner. I assume you've looked under Mode, Settings, GPS viewer to check how many birds you're receiving when this happens?
I'd get the GPS arial checked, and the ABS sensors checked for dirt. Next I'd make sure the CAN bus connection is OK, although I think you'd lose the Nav display in the dash cluster if it wasn't. After that, I'd suggest a faulty gyro, which I think lives in the processor in the trunk.

Re: Gyration
I am receiving up to 8 satelites and still gyrating.
Re: Gyration
Very odd. Perhaps it all needs powering down properly (turning the ignition off doesn't shut Nav down completely). Let us know what the outcome is, I'm perplexed by that one!
Re: Gyration
New GPS Aerial base installed today and fadding DIS under warranty all working fine again, yippee
