Carphone help.

Having just ditched the almost useless 'integrated' carphone in my 6+ in favour of a Bluetooth Nokia N70 (which works very well) I cannot see how to remove the extending support mechanism in the armrest. The screws from it, into the armrest will not come out and appear to just rotate. Anyone know how to do this?
