Gents,
Could you provide some information on the following questions I have ...
I'm thinking of getting a Road Angel 2. Been quoted £370 to get it supplied and hardwired. Considering how easy the beast can get up to serious speeds without even trying (or me noticing) I think a speed camera detector is a must have.
Firstly, is this a good price? - it seems so compared to other sellers on the internet and on ebay.
Secondly, do people rate this device? Should I be looking at a snooper or origin B2 or are they all much of a muchness?
Thanks in advance.
Rich.
New Road Angel ... worth getting?
RE: New Road Angel ... worth getting?
have all the above and the New Roadangel navigator.... best bet is knowing what you want.... Screen full of bolt ons doesn't appeal to me so I wanted Sat Nav and detector in one, only problem is Nav does not detect only predict by GPS. Origin B2 with lazer and radar detecting has to be the best bet although I did get zapped with this in situ..........

RE: New Road Angel ... worth getting?
I had a Road Angel navigator for about two weeks - I was so disappointed with it that I returned it as 'unfit for purpose' and obtained a full refund! I now use a TomTom Go 700 in the other cars.
I have what I believe to be the perfect combo in the RS6 - the Audi Nav+ (RNS-E) for navigation, the RoadPilot Pro for GPS camera warnings (+ radar detector option), and a Lidatek LT450 for laser protection. The Lidatek installation is totally hidden, except for the very small tell-tale LED (which isn't really necessary - the hidden buzzer, alone, gives sufficient warning).
The probem with devices such as the Origin B2 laser head is that the laser speed reading is obtained so quickly that you don't have any chance of adjusting your speed once the device is triggered. As Simon seems to have discovered, if it goes off, there's a 99% certainty that you've already been 'done'!
