Weird problem with climate control illumination

Post by jar » Mon Aug 23, 2004 10:07 am

Hi All

Got a strange problem here.

The climate control display is very dim compared to the stereo etc. - virtually unreadable in daylight.

The buttons light up with the sidelights (again though, they are a lot dimmer than the stereo) and they dim properly as you'd expect when adjusting the dash illumination.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

John

If the buttons dim OK, then the fault can't be external (such as a s/c or o/c making the unit think it should be dimmed all the time). That suggests that the fault is internal, and so you're likely to have to replace the unit.

They come up on German E-bay occasionally.
