Hazard indicator switch

Post by NortheastS4 » Wed May 19, 2004 11:09 pm

Can anyone help? i just found the hazard button seems to have stopped working, although the button does still seem to activate as when it is pushed once the indicator stalk stops working and it starts to work ok when pushed a second time.
The indicators still flash when the car is locked and when the indicator stalk is used, but the hazards don't. There isn't even a click from a relay...
Could this just be a faulty relay or something worse??? The fuses are ok.
Where do i start???

Thanks

I've got a spare unit - the relay is integrated with the switch.

Well the strangest thing happened, i decided to dig in to this problem yesterday, and after i pulled the stereo i tried it once more only to find the hazards working again!!!

the only thing i can think of is there must have been a loose wire in there which i've disturbed...

Put the stereo back in and its still working, so i think i'll leave it alone for now!

Err... but the relay is built into the back of the switch - it isn't in the fuse box.
