The tailback function in the Sat Nav (+) looks as if it should be useful, but so far all I can get from it is a message to say it can't find a suitable broadcast. Presumably this requires a subscription or something. Or am I missing some other vital information? Any help would be appreciated because at the moment it seems to me to be totally useless.

Some information for you.
The tailback function can be operated in several modes:
1. With a subscription to a telematics service (Vodaphone operated in Germany), and traffic jams are marked on the map.
2. Using the freely available Traffic Alert Data from the Radio
3. Manually
When using 1 or 2, you can read the alerts, have the system automatically re-route around the jam or let you make the decision to divert.
With 3, when you become aware of an impending tailback, select the divert for as far as you wish and the system will navigate you around the tailback.
