Q5 2010 Sat Nav. The worst ever created by man?

Having had RNS-D, and E in my RS4's and 6's, my wife now has a Q5.

We've pottered about for nearly a year without the real need for the Nav, but recently have needed to venture around the country looking at property. I must almost think I'm missing something here, because this latest system is appalling, almost of no use whatsoever. Half a postcode as anyone knows anywhere remotely rural can take you literally miles from where you need to be. My old RS6 gave you the option to adjust the destination cursor, albeit clunkily up and down. This option seems to not exist.

Part rant/part query as to any views? I called CS which was typically uninspiring. So looks like a trip to the dealer.
