Alpine 425i and Kufatec IMA

Post by xyber » Sun Sep 13, 2009 8:27 pm

Has anyone fitted thus setup, did mine yesterday but the RNS-E isn't controlling it? Trying to work out if I've missed something or it's faulty

Thanks

The RNS-E doesn't know how to control the Alpine 425i - AFAIk you have to use the Alpine remote to control it (unless Kufatec have a SW update for the IMA+ for it? - worth asking them).

The Kufatec IMA plus does control it, but you need to set it up using the instructions supplied by downloading them from Kufatec, when you ordered your equipment you sould have got information about a download page for the instructions for the IMA.

Press and hold SETUP when on the TV page for at least 4 seconds, let go and the DIS with display CON for contrast.
Press SETUP and the DIS wil move to the next setting, keep pressing until it gets to RVC, set this to RV00 using the rotary knob.
Press SETUP again and the DIS will display 1C, set this to 1C00
Press SETUP again and the DIS will display 2C, set this to 2C18 for the Alpine.

The DIS will now say POD when TV is selected, if at any point it doesn't say POD when TV is selected then it has lost it's settings and you need to go through this again.
