I have my MP3s on SD cards however if I arrange the tracks into albums I have to listen to every track on the album to go to the next album. Is there a way around this??

Yes, you can use the RETURN button underneath the MMI knob to go back up levels in the folder structure on the SD card.
I use M3U playlists in the root folder to make selecting an album easy, plus they allow you to choose the 8 characters that get displayed in the DIS.
