You can't cut any wires for TV in motion in a car with MMI.

You can do any of the following....

1. Buy a personal TV in motion tool, around 150 euros off ebay etc
2. Find someone with the professional tool to unlock it for you
3. Find the guy on navplus.us that knows the secret login code that is used and using VAG com you can unlock it.

Nor on a car with the RNS-E sat nav - the speed signal is on the CAN bus.

In theory it's so that the passengers can watch TV or a DVD while the car is moving...

Who said it was cool?

I agree it's a seriously bad idea, but it's (still just) a free country.
