anyone got a SmartTop roof mod?

Hi, this is my first post having been lurking for a while. Thanks to you guys I got the dealer to supply the 2007 TMC upgrade when I bought my B6 S4 cab a couple of weeks ago. Lovely, well specced car btw.

I've been looking round for toys and found the SmartTop advertised on ebay which apparently allows one touch roof open/close whilst driving or remote open/close of roof/windows from the remote. Seems
like a must-have for me...

They appear to have a few UK distributers, one of whom supplies and fits for ~200 quid, but they seem to be geared up for Porsches. Doubt it would be too tricky to talk them into fitting an Audi one though. I'll be calling them in the next few days to size them up.

Has anyone got any experience of these? Do they work as advertised, are they easy to fit etc? Any info appreciated.

In general what are dealer's views to aftermarket mods like this?

I just fitted one to my Cab a couple of weekends ago and it works a treat, thoroughly reccomend it. Itook me about 4 hours to fit but the end result was excellent and glad I did it.

I now have one touch push button instead of having to hold it and also the roof opens and closes from using the key fob.

Not really to be honest, I found it harder to put it all back than take off. Having said that, I still think it was worth it. Just take your time and try not to rush it and you'll be fine.
