Retrofitting Bose...

Post by Carps » Fri May 16, 2003 9:33 pm

Two questions:
1/ Anyone out there ever retrofitted the Bose system ?
If so, is this an easy task and what components are required ? Will it work with my standard head unit ?

2/ Anyone want to sell a Bose system that they have upgraded ?

Cheers

Carps,

I'm surprised no noe has answered this. Maybe that simply means no one has tried it yet...

Anyway, given that bose can be ordered regardless of which head unit from the range you have, I would assume that it will work with any head unit.
Of course I could be wrong, and would like to know myself.

I wonder if the car loom is altered when bose is fitted, or whether it simply uses additional looms.
If anyone has an up to date copy of ETKA (the vag parts cdrom) they would be able to tell you.

Cheers,
John.
