Electric Problems

Hello All

My S2 has been off the road for two weeks with an electrical fault (its thought). Not at a problem for a good 18 months and one morning it just won't start.

Initial investigations suggest a crank angle sensor which has now been replaced but it still won't fire.

Has anyone had a similiar problem or know of any common ignition problems?

Sam, does the engine turnover or not?
Also are there any fault codes stored?

Agreed,

If you have access to a VAG machine or VAG COM try reading the fault codes, something major like the crank sensor would surely get recorded (I think you need a special 2+2 lead for the S2 and older Audis)
