My avant has sprung a leak from somewhere yet to be determined as it`s not really the weather for kerbside auto`s. Has anyone had problems before. It`s defo coming from oilfilter and turbo side of engine as oil is dripping from directly below the line of the O/S foglight. If I get it up on a trolley jack and manage to pull on a dirty thermal boiler suit I could then give a description of the oil leak.

Easiest place to check first would be the cam cover gasket, this can leak anywhere round the circumference... should be able to spot any traces without lying underneath in the cold....

It`s the oil cooler thats the cause of the problem. New one ordered from the very helpful VAG parts boys.
