It depends. Shipping may be too prohibitive for UK buyers (let alone the cost of a test drive!). A RHD S2 Sedan must be one of the rarest Audis ever made!! Only around 300 of these were made and almost all were LHD. Until recently I never knew that any RHD sedans were made so you could be talking good money. It's worth as much as people are willing to pay for it. In Europe the sedans command a premium over the Avants and Coupes and I have heard that S2 prices have gone up some 25% in the last year across Europe! Don't know if that is true or not but they are getting rarer.

If I had the cash I would pay a serious amount of wedge for a RHD one if it was unmolested, original, low mileage and in good condition. Personally, I would expect to pay more for an S2 Sedan than an RS2, for example.

Is this your car or a fellow New Zealander? If it's yours keep hold of it as I am sure it will appreciate in value. Its mega rare and a classic. There are a few of them cruising around germany with 500+bhp (one was going recently for around 60K Euros with around 550PS, IIRC) and I doubt there are many originals out there now.

Got any photos and details? Are there many of these in NZ?

Just something i'm looking at. NZ was quite lucky, we got 25+ S2 Sedans here. Not bad for the population. A nation of petrol heads.

One S2 saloon sold in Christchurch recently for less than NZ$15,000. It is green (mid) and has done over 200,000km. A friend of mine went to buy it after I told him - if he didn't, I would - as he pulled up armed with the cash, he saw an older fellow driving away with it. He had just bought it.

Saw it again recently when he followed me in my Ur quattro for a few miles.
