How does this climate control console work?

Hello!
I've had my car for a month now and I still haven't exactly figured this Electric Climate Control Console out, even though there are so few buttons
The fact that my airconditioning has been treated very poorly and thus can't really remember how to really cool things off makes it only more difficult.
My main question's are:
When is the airco actually on and when is it just the blower that's on? (button usage and display given).
What button is used to only turn on the blower (no airco)?
Also: is it normal for your car to hesitate on hard accel when the airco is on?
Hope somebody can enlighten me
